Holiday Spirit: Seasons Greetings

Happy holidays to you and yours ! We are in the cold seasons, the sun is setting early and we are sipping warm sweet drinks while planning the holidays with the ones we love.

December makes people significantly happier, whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or Christmas. It is a time when we all gather with family, chosen family, friends and help those who are less fortunate. My favourite part will always be sitting crisscross on the couch, inhaling a box of biscuits and hearing about the birth of the Messiah. (it never gets old, #Love you J.C <3)

Let’s not forget the holidays are a huge money grab for corporations but it’s one i can get behind, capitalism can win this one time. The decorations, movies, the campaign shoots, they all add to the festive vibe. Destiny’s Child releasing “8 days of Christmas” in 2001 was their “All i want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey. The whole roll out was legendary. They took Mrs Claus whole swag and gave it more meaning than the North Pole.

Santa Claus isn’t real ! But what’s real are the great Christmas movies, for example A Preachers Wife, Almost Christmas, How the Grinch stole Christmas and The Best Man Holiday. Do yourself a favour and watch some of them, they are so entertaining.

We wish you a happy holiday full of love and light. Eat until your hearts content, it’s okay you’re starting the gym in the new year. Also, please for the love of God, get away from that Santa Claus dude he’s unsettling so me i don’t know.
